Scenario
The scenario places the learner in the role of a healthcare assistant, which is appropriate, as learners who take a ‘gap’ year before entering university, may work in this capacity for some time.
The setting is realistic and allows learners to relate their selected case study to the residence. Information to support the scenario can be found on the internet, using the recommended websites
Task 2
must be based on either one of the case studies provided, one provided by the teacher, or a relative/family friend, whilst maintaining complete anonymity of the individual and confidentiality with regard to personal details.
We are committed to ensuring that teachers/tutors and learners have a choice of resources to support their teaching and study.
We would encourage them to use relevant resources for your local area such as local employers, newspapers and council websites.
Resources from various publishers are available to support delivery and training for all Pearson and BTEC qualifications so that learners and teachers/tutors can select those that best suit their needs.
