Approaching the Unit
This unit is practical, providing learners with the rewarding experience of organizing and delivering a successful event. Event management is a rapidly expanding industry, with a growing demand for employees who possess the organizational skills necessary to ensure the success of various events. The primary focus of this unit is to develop skills that help learners determine the feasibility of an event and enhance their problem-solving abilities. The actual staging of the event is a critical component of this unit.
To complete this unit, learners will need to collaborate as a team to plan, coordinate, and manage a business or social enterprise event. Each learner must then produce individual evidence sufficient for assessment.
